Send a Customer Feedback Questionnaire
Love Your Customers Tip #4: Send a Customer Feedback Questionnaire
I’d like to talk about the value of sending a customer feedback questionnaire to your audience.
You don’t want to just say you care about your customers or clients. You want to show you care about them.
And how do you do that? By better understanding them, their problems, their obstacles, and goals. Once you better understand those things, then you’re of course better able to help them solve their problems and reach their goals.
Send a Customer Feedback Questionnaire to Better Understand Your Customers
A great way to better understand them is to send everyone you know in your target audience a customer feedback questionnaire.
You want to keep the customer feedback questionnaire quick and simple.
I recommend asking no more than about five questions. Sometimes a single question is best. Then you might possibly want to add in a follow-up question to go with the main question.
For example, if you’re sending it to existing customers, ask them something like, “What is the one thing I can do to serve you better?”
If you’re asking prospects, maybe ask them a question like, “What is the biggest problem you’re currently facing in your business?” Depending upon the business you do, you might change it from what is the biggest problem you’re currently facing your business, to what is the biggest problem you’re currently facing in your life, your relationships, your health, or whatever it may be.
How to Share Your Customer Feedback Questionnaire
I recommend sending the customer feedback questionnaire to everyone on your customer and prospect email list.
If you have a small list at this point, consider posting the survey on Facebook.
You can create a free account on SurveyMonkey, create a survey there, and then post it on your Facebook page and any Facebook groups you belong to that focus on that subject. If you post it on your Facebook page and want to get more feedback, you could pay to boost the post and share the survey with a targeted audience.
SurveyMonkey lets you share the survey also on Twitter and LinkedIn. This allows you to get your customer feedback questionnaire out to your target audience quickly and easily.
Act on the Customer Feedback Questionnaire
It’s great to do customer feedback questionnaires, but it’s very important to then act on their feedback. And not just take the action, but also let them know what you’re doing in response to their feedback so that they know you value their feedback and you’re making efforts to really serve them better.
I encourage you to create your next customer feedback questionnaire very soon and share it with your customer audience.
